Chicago Bull newcomer Jaden Ivey recently went on a rant speaking on religion and calling out the NBA for celebrating “Pride Night,” saying it was “unrighteous”. Not long after the Chicago Bulls allegedly released him. Not only did the Bull’s release him but according to Jaden Ivey his wife and family has distanced themselves from him. Many have concerns about his mental health and in a recent interview while speaking about his recent evets Jaden Ivey revealed past attempt of suicide.
“I’ve almost committed suicide multiple times, and I’m not ashamed to say it,”…”I’m not ashamed because God was merciful to keep me here.”…”I almost committed suicide. I had [oxycodone] pills in my hand. And my wife was telling me, ‘Don’t do this. Don’t go down this road.”…”I didn’t do it by God’s grace.”
Jaden Ivey also addressed the drama of what he said in a video that ultimately cost him his job:
“In terms of LGBTQ, I’m not against the man or the woman. I’m against what is contrary to the word of God,” …”As long as I’m doing the will of God, abiding in Jesus Christ, that’s what matters.”
Jaden Ivey had also went Live Tuesday to speak about feeling betrayed by his family.
“Those who are around me, those who are my family members betraying (me) because of what I spoke. The truth. Betraying me. Saying that I’m losing my mind. Saying that I’m crazy. Saying that I don’t know the truth,” said Ivey, per Joel Lorenzi of The Athletic on X, formerly Twitter. “These are my own family members who love me. My blood. Those who raised me saying that I don’t know the truth. ‘Man, he’s psycho.’ He’s this, he’s that. Those are my own household. All because of the gospel. All because I said the truth.”
