Praise God !! TSA Workers Have Started Receiving Their Retroactive Checks After Going Without For 6 Weeks

Praise God, Cleveland Hopkins International Airport closed its temporary food pantry for unpaid TSA workers, because after six weeks of going without pay, reportedly TSA workers have started to receive their retroactive checks.

A partial government shutdown began in February 2026 due to a funding lapse for the Department of Homeland Security (DHS). Congressional Democrats and the administration are deadlocked over oversight of immigration operations following fatal shootings by federal officers. Officials say hundreds of TSA agents have quit, with thousands more calling out sick after Congress failed to pass a funding bill for the Department of Homeland Security, which includes TSA.

According to The Hill, TSA workers have now started to receive retroactive paychecks covering pay periods 4 and 5. This comes after Trump signed an executive order on Friday to finally release funds to DHS.

DHS spokesperson Lauren Bis said in a statement:

“Most TSA employees received a retroactive paycheck today that included at least two full paychecks covering pay periods 4 and 5 today,”
