New York native, Shawn Carter, better known as Jay-Z, a rapper, record executive, producer, songwriter, actor, and entrepreneur, is arguably the greatest rapper of all time. Jay-Z’s career began with the release of his debut album, Reasonable Doubt, in 1996. Jay-Z’s debut album Reasonable Doubt was inducted into the Grammy Hall of Fame in 2025. While initially a modest commercial success, peaking at No. 23 on the Billboard 200, the album was later certified Platinum by the RIAA on February 7, 2002. It is widely regarded as a classic hip-hop album. Then five years later, Jay-z dropped his 6th studio album ‘The Blueprint’ that was universally acclaimed by music critics, particularly for Jay-Z’s performance and the album’s soul-based soundscape, widely regarded as one of the greatest hip-hop albums of all time as well as one of the greatest albums ever made in general. In celebration of the 30th anniversary of Jay-Z’s debut studio album, ‘Reasonable Doubt,’ and the 25th anniversary of ‘The Blueprint,’ Jay-Z is going back to where it all started from NYC, with a two day concert celebration at Yankee Stadium.
Roc Nation confirmed the stadium shows on social media, writing, “Two historic nights to celebrate the iconic albums Reasonable Doubt and The Blueprint.” at Yankee Stadium in New York City this July. The concerts are scheduled for July 10 and July 11, with each night dedicated to one of the landmark projects that shaped his rise and long-standing influence in hip-hop.
