A 28-year-old woman has been arrested by Cleveland police and is expected to be charged at some point today, which comes just days after the bodies of two young girls were found in suitcases in the area of East 162nd Street and Midland Avenue.
Allegedly the 28-year-old woman being reported by Aliyah Henderson has now been identified in the double homicide investigation. 28-year-old Aliyah Henderson was taken into custody and charged with murder and child endangering. She was booked into the Cuyahoga County Jail on Wednesday, with Cleveland police telling the outlet that law enforcement was able to identify a person of interest after executing a search warrant at an address around the area of East 162nd and Midland Avenue. Reportedly police said a child was found inside the home “and appeared to be in good health.” The Department of Children and Family Services has taken custody of the child.
The double homicide investigation that shocked the city after two young girls were found in separate suitcases. According to the Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner’s Office announced that DNA testing revealed the girls are half-siblings. They are believed to be between the ages of 8 and 14 years old. No cause of death of has been given as of yet and it’s unknown how long they had been at the location.
