Florida Couple Say’s They Were Tracked By An Apple Air Tag And Robbed [VIDEO]

The more technology changes to make our lives better, the more the wrong people use it to harm us.  

Reports of criminals using Apple AirTags to track, stalk, and rob people have been documented since at least 2021, recently a Florida couple came home from a night out with friends and, upon opening up their car doors, were dragged out of their car by armed robbers. The thieves ordered the victims into the garage of their Odessa home and robbed them, according the sheriff’s office in Hillsborough County.  According to court documents the Apple Air Tag that was found attached to their car was used to track down the suspects Omardy Maldonado Rodriguez and Luis Charles.

 Authorities warn the device is being misused in a growing trend.

Omardy Maldonado Rodriguez and Luis Charles have been arrested and charged armed burglary, assault and armed kidnapping.
