South Carolina State Circuit Judge Diane Goodstein Home Destroyed Following Trump Administration Criticism [VIDEO]

Authorities are investigating a fire that destroyed the Edisto Beach home of South Carolina Circuit Court Judge Diane Goodstein, a state judge who had reportedly received death threats in recent months following high-profile political cases.

The fire happened late Saturday night, destroying most of the property and sending three people to the hospital, including Judge Goodstein. Their current conditions have not been made public according to local South Carolina WIS10. South Carolina authorities are investigating a possible arson attack on South Carolina Circuit Court Judge Diane Goodstein house Saturday.

The South Carolina Supreme Court told CNN in a statement.

“Chief Justice John W. Kittredge is aware of an incident involving Circuit Court Judge Diane Goodstein. At this time, SLED is on the scene and will begin investigating as soon as the fire has been contained,”  “Local law enforcement partners have been alerted and asked to provide extra patrols and security. The Judicial Branch will remain in close communication with SLED.”
