Stephen A. Smith Doesn’t Stand With Jimmy Kimmel [VIDEO]

Social media erupted when news broke that ABC announced that it was pulling Jimmy Kimmel’s late night show “indefinitely” after conservatives accused the longtime host of inaccurately describing the politics of the man who is accused of fatally shooting the right-wing activist Charlie Kirk.  Most shocking was the comments he made seemed very minor leaving people confused about what he said that got him pulled.  An outpouring of celebrities including former President Barack Obama took to social media to show their support for Kimmel that seems to have fallen victim to if the our now President Trump isn’t feeling what you are saying about him or what he believes you may be out of a job.  NBC host of ‘The Tonight Show’ Jimmy Fallon masterfully stood in the gap for his fallen brother from another network during his monologue. However Sports Journalist Stephen A. Smith isn’t one of those celebrities who is standing with Jimmy Kimmel.

Stephen A. Smith went after his Disney colleague Jimmy Kimmel on his show Straight Shooter:

“The only thing that I would say as it pertains to Jimmy Kimmel is, where was the joke?”  “Because you’re a late-night host — and obviously that has a comedic attachment to it. Where was the joke? Obviously, it wasn’t anything funny about that.”

Stephen A Smith has a new multi-platform deal with ESPN and a new show on SiriusXM, both involving an expansion into political and cultural commentary.  Disney is the parent company of ABC, as well as ESPN, which Smith has called home since 2003.
