Beyoncé and Drake Producer Sidney ‘Omen’ Brown Has Passed At 49

Prayers are in order as it is being reported that Grammy-winning producer Sidney ‘Omen’ Brown has been found dead at the age of 49 years old in his New York City apartment.

News of DJ Sidney ‘Omen’ Brown passing, who worked with the likes of Drake, Beyoncé, Lil Wayne and more in the music industry, was shared by the Who’s Who in Hip Hop on social media.

Reportedly a relative found Sidney ‘Omen’ Brown’s body at his apartment on Saturday, Sept. 13, after employees alerted his family that he had not shown up for his shift for work.

Barawine Harlem, a wine bar in N.Y.C. where Sidney ‘Omen’ Brown worked, wrote in a statement on Instagram:

“It is with shock and deep sadness we have heard about the passing of our dear friend Omen Sidney Brown.”

Sidney ‘Omen’ Brown got his big break back in 2006 when he worked on Ludacris’ Release Therapy track “Tell It Like It Is.” The album won a Grammy for Best Rap Album the following year.

Details on the cause and circumstances surrounding the death have not been shared at this time.
