Montell Jordan celebrated turning 56, by sharing the best gift, the blessing of being alive after beating prostate cancer earlier this year!
The “This Is How We Do It” singer shared during a run-in with TMZ Hip-Hop, “You wanna catch it before it catches you.” Montell Jordan says almost a year ago, back in January her was diagnosed with early stage 1 prostate cancer, but thanks to early detection and skilled doctors, a recent prostatectomy saved his life.
The R&B singer turned pastor, Montell Jordan, credits his faith and relationship with God for guiding him through and he hopes his journey inspires others to prioritize early health screenings and is working on a documentary to break down stigmas around them.
According to Montell Jordan he “researched and reviewed all options [and] prayed hard,”…“Once [his prostate was] removed, there was more cancer found in what was removed,” Jordan confessed in the initial video. “It was more aggressive. It was undetected. It was more like Stage 2, but they got it all.”…“Jesus saved my soul. Early detection helped save my life […] I am now cancer free.”
