Shell Casting From UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson Murder Had A Message on Them

50-year-old UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson was fatally shot in the chest outside of a Hilton hotel Wednesday morning around 6:45 a.m. near W. 54th St. and 6th Avenue outside the Hilton Hotel in Manhattan.  Thompson was in town for UnitedHealthcare’s 2024 investor conference.  According to reports, NYPD Commissioner Jessica Tisch stated that Thompson’s death was a “brazen, targeted attack,” adding that the gunman was “lying in wait” for a significant amount of time before carrying out the shooting.  Authorities believe the shooter used a silencer to carryout the crime before he fled on a stolen Citibike.

A $10,000 manhunt is underway and there is more being released about the crime scene of Thompson’s murder.

Shell casings found at the scene where the UnitedHealthcare CEO was shot dead by a masked gunman in front of a busy New York City hotel had the words “deny,” “defend” and “depose” written on them, a senior New York City law enforcement official briefed on the investigation confirmed to NBC News on Thursday.
