Bodycam Video Released Of Deadly D.C. Police Shooting Of 26 Yr Old Justin Robinson

Authorites have realized the bodycam footage of the deadly police shooting of 26 year old Justin Robinson who was shot and killed in the drive-thru line of a McDonalds in Southeast D.C., Sunday September 1, 2024 at 5am.

Police received a call about a minor crash at the McDonald’s drive-thru.  According to reports when police arrived they found Justin Robinson allegedly unconscious with a gun in his lap in then drive-thru line.

In the video, you can hear the police acknowledging the victim, Justin Robinson, was sleep and let authorities know the victim had a firearm in his lap by using his dispatch radio.  While trying to get a strategy together the police see movement in the vehicle. Authorities surrounded the vehicle with their weapons drawn, when Robinson awoke he reached for one of the officers firearms resulting in an officer firing 10 rounds at the victim and another officer firing a single round.  

Justin Robinson was pronounced dead at the scene and the two officers responsible for the shooting have been placed on administrative leave.

The family of Justin Robinson originally said they did not want the video released, but later changed their minds, according to police.

“We wanted to watch the video ourselves and then be able to tell our own story before the video was redacted,”
