Beyonce’s music is good enough to be the music bed for the campaign of Kamala Harris, but not good enough for a CMA nomination!?
Beyonce’ crossed over to country early 2024 when she dropped ‘Cowboy Carter’, making the unbeknownst world take notice to country music while boot scooting on social media to ‘Texas Hold’em’. You can’t walk into any clothing/shoe store now without cowboy/cowgirl attire being present. Although Beyonce’ isn’t the first black country artist because of her superstardom a light was shinned on the one’s that came before her. The Country Music Awards nominations were announced Monday, and Beyonce’ was not on the list, needless to say the Beyhive isn’t happy.
Beyoncé shared on Instagram earlier this year that the album was “born out of an experience that I had years ago where I did not feel welcomed.” Beyoncé said her experience motivated her to do a “deeper dive” into country music.
The math surely isn’t mathing, “Texas Hold ‘Em,” the lead single off of “Cowboy Carter,” became the first by a Black female artist to top Billboard’s Hot Country Songs chart after it was released in February. However not good enough for a CMA nomination.
