In Spite Of, Tasha Cobb And Coco Jones Slayed The Field To Kick Off The NFL Season [VIDEO]

Thursday night the defending Super Bowl Champs, the Kansas City Chiefs and Baltimore Ravens kicked off the NFL 2024 season in epic fashion with Gospel singing great Tasha Cobb and Coco Jones bringing the house down with their renditions of the Black National Anthem ‘Lift Every Voice and Sing’ followed by the ‘The Star-Spangled Banner’.

Grammy Award winning singer Tasha Cobb sent chills through a sold-out sold out stadium of Kansas City performing the Black National Anthem ‘Lift Every Voice and Sing’ and before the chills had a chance to wear off singer/actress Coco Jones slayed the National Anthem ‘The Star-Spangled Banner’.

The announcement that the Black National Anthem was being performed before the start of the game drew the same kind of scrutiny as it has in the past. NFL teams started to have the Black National Anthem included in 2020 after a summer of racial unrest in the aftermath of the murder of George Floyd.
