Prayers, Mariah Carey Lost Her Mother and Sister Over The Weekend On The Same Day

Prayers are in order as it is being reported that Grammy award winning singer, Mariah Carey, lost both her mother, Patricia Carey and her sister, Alison, over weekend.

The sad news was confirmed by People.com, via a statement from Mariah Carey herself.

“My heart is broken that I’ve lost my mother this past weekend. Sadly, in a tragic turn of events, my sister lost her life on the same day,”  “I feel blessed that I was able to spend the last week with my mom before she passed,”… “I appreciate everyone’s love and support and respect for my privacy during this impossible time.”

Mariah Carey’s mother, Patricia Carey, was an opera singer and she recorded with her daughter before her death. 

No other details have been given as to the nature of their deaths
