Sean Kingston, who along with his mother, 62 year old Janice Turner, was arrested last week after his Florida home was raided, is facing 10 charges of theft and fraud.
According to TMZ, authorities say Sean Kingston and his mother, Janice Turner ripped off a jeweler, an exotic car dealer and several other businesses for well into the 6-figures. For instance, the car dealer allegation is over a Cadillac Escalade worth $159,701.49 … and the jewelry was worth a whopping $480K.
Sean Kingston is being extradited from California to Florida to face charges. According to his attorney
“We want him back asap so we can show this is merely a civil case and not criminal. We look forward to challenging this case in court.”
Kingston is best known for his 2007 No. 1 song “Beautiful Girls,” in addition to his collaboration with Justin Bieber for the song “Eenie Meenie.” Kingston has not released music under a major label in over a decade.
