Tamar Braxton’s Love Of Mariah Carey Is Causing War With Whitney Houston Fans [VIDEO]

Tamartian’s mount up, your gurl Tamar Braxton is catching heat after picking Mariah Carey over the late great Whitney Houston.

Whitney Houston is arguably one of the greatest singers to grace this earth.  So much so, you will find it hard pressed to find any singer, amateur or professional, that can cover any of Whitney Houston’s greatest hits.

A resurfaced video interview is making it’s rounds on social media, that has some music fans jaws a little tight.  Tamar Braxton was prompted after an hour interview to answer a series of “this or that” questions. Initially, she was asked to choose between Monica or Brandy, and then the panel posed the question for her to choose between Xscape or Destiny’s Child. Then she offered to choose between Houston and her music mentee, Mariah Carey.

The ‘Love and War’ singer response was this:

“I’ve never been a huge Whitney fan like that,” “I don’t want you guys to take it out of context here. I’m not saying that I don’t like her music. I’m not saying that she wasn’t a phenomenal singer. I’m not saying her songs wasn’t amazing. But for me, because you asked me a personal question, my personal preference will always be Mariah Carey,” 

Tamar’s response has caused viral reaction on the ‘X’ platform formerly known as Twitter:
