Steph Curry: Low Income Housing…Not In His Hood !?

You would think that if you became a billionaire, living in a mansion, your neighbors and/or your hood wouldn’t be a concern.  However NBA Golden State Warriors star Steph Curry built a $30 million mansion back in 2019 now they are worried about a developer bringing low income housing to his hood.

Steph and his wife Ayesha allegedly sent a letter to the town of Atherton, stating they’re against the project that would see up to 16 three story townhouses, a development of affordable multi-family housing units set to be placed in the center of their neighborhood.

According to a letter from the Curry’s:

“We hesitate to add to the ‘not in our backyard’ (literally) rhetoric, but we wanted to send a note before today’s meeting. Safety and privacy for us and our kids continues to be our top priority and one of the biggest reasons we chose Atherton as home.”

The Curry’s continued to say that they are for affordable housing, just not in their hood.

Is this a case of forgetting were they come from, or do the Curry’s have a point?  Give us your thoughts.
