Parents Of Black Teen Attacked By White Woman Over an iPhone Speaks [VIDEO]

Yesterday a video went viral of a white woman attacking a black teen in a Manhattan hotel claiming that he had her iPhone, now the parents of the teen is speaking out and Attorney Ben Crump has jumped on the case.

A prominent jazz musician Keyon Harrold was staying at the Arlo SoHo boutique hotel in Manhattan, New York, when he and his 14 year old son decided to have breakfast down in the hotel lobby.  No sooner than they stepped into the lobby a woman accosted Harrold’s 14 year son demanding he give her his iPhone because she claimed it belonged to her.  Totally freaked out by the scene Harrold hit record on his phone then posted the video to his social media (see full video below).  In the video you can see the woman physically and verbally attacking them while a hotel employee asks them to let them see the phone, a request that Harrold firmly declined.

According to Keyon Harrold’s Instagram post:

This person quote on quote “lost” her iPhone, and apparently, my son magically acquired it, which merely ridiculous. This incident went on for five more minutes, me protecting my son from this lunatic. She scratched me; she Tackled and grabbed him. He is a child!!! Now watch it again. This lady is not even a guest at the hotel. She checked out of the hotel on the 23rd of December; today is the 26th. Now watch as the manager advocates for the lady who is not even a hotel guest, insisting and attempting to use his managerial authority to force my son to show his phone to this random lady. He actually empowered her!!! He didn’t even consider the fact we were actually the guests! Now think about the trauma that my son now has to carry, only coming downstairs to have box day brunch with his dad. Then… her phone was magically returned by an Uber driver a few minutes after this incident. No apology from her after this traumatic situation to my son, not me. No apologies from the establishment.

To add insult to injury an Uber driver ended up returning the woman’s iPhone that she had left in the car then the hotel gave the Harrold’s a light weight apology for the incident from a woman that wasn’t even staying at the hotel, no charges have been filed nor was the woman name divulged. 

Now the 14 year olds parents are speaking out angry that have been embarrassed and hurt that they have to explain to their child why that happened to him, an assault on his physical and mental being that the famous Attorney Benjamin  Crump finds unacceptable and he wants the woman to pay for her actions.
