Beep beep who’s got the key’s to Missy’s jeep vrrrrrr…MTV does!! As MTV has announced that Missy ‘Misdemeanor’ Elliott will receive the highly coveted ‘MTV Video Vanguard Award’ at this years, 36th annual MTV Music Video awards show being aired August 26, 2019.
MTV ‘s Video Vanguard Award is a lifetime achievement award that’s has been presented to The Beatles, U2, Madonna, The Rolling Stones, Beyonce’, Michael Jackson, LL Cool J, Janet Jackson, George Michael and Hype Williams just to name a few. Not a bad club to be in musically at all. However Missy will be making history with this award, as Missy Elliott will become the first female rapper to receive this high honor.
People are taking this time to make it a issue that Michael Jackson’s name should be removed from the award but on this platform it is Missy Elliott’s time to shine no matter who’s name is on it!!
