Sad news is being reported this morning as it appears prayers and condolences are in order as it has been revealed in a tribute, by a source close to the singing group ‘After 7’ that original member and brother to Kenny ‘Babyface’ Edmonds and Kevon Edmonds, Melvin Edmonds has passed away.

After 7 is an R&B group founded/formed in Indiana in 1987 by brothers Melvin and Kevon Edmonds, and Keith Mitchell that had 4 studio albums. Melvin Edmonds strong melodic voice captured our hearts on their smash single ‘Ready or Not’ 1989 and ‘Can He Love You Like This’ in 1992. Melvin officially left the group in the early 2000s and keeping it a family affair was replaced with, Jason Edmonds, son of Melvin Edmonds that can be heard on their latest album Timeless.

No cause of death is being reported at this time.

We will be keeping the Edmonds family uplifted in our prayers.
